Back in our home base of Santa Barbara, the team had a very successful trip to San Francisco for Street Fight Summit West as sponsors, introducing the panel on mobile analytics, and as wine hosts during our Taste of Santa Barbara Wine Tasting event on June 3.
Wine Tasting Event:
Local Market Launch threw another successful wine tasting event at the Omni Hotel’s Presidential Suite. In addition to fantastic wine from Santa Barbara’s very own wineries, the team was able to mingle with some of hyperlocal’s leading thought leaders.
Local Market Launch not only attended the Summit, but was also a significant sponsor at the conference. We hope everyone that attended received our awesome rocket-shaped stress ball and if not just let us know and we can arrange one to land in your office!
We were fortunate enough to listen to great speakers who shared their insight on what’s currently happening in the hyperlocal industry. One of the most memorable for Angela Tan on our business development team were Will Scott’s comments from The Search Influence on how business listings and local search are evolving, and how companies that work with SMBs need to respond. Another team favorite was OwnLocal Jeremy Mim’s memorable and simultaneously funny presentation on newspapers and saving journalism. Let’s not forget the panel our very own Brian Coryat introduced which shed light on the progression of search on mobile.
We met a lot of industry intelligent people at our booth and hope to see everyone again. If we didn’t get a chance to connect we’ d love to reach out.
Overall, Street Fight Summit was educational and a great opportunity to discuss industry progress and insights with like-minded individuals sharing our same passion for local search.
